An affidavit from the Registrar of Family Court (Nicosia District Court) that clearly describes his/her marital status (single/divorced/widow). In case of divorce or widowhood it must be stated that the applicant has not been married since the divorce/death of his/her spouse. The Affidavit should also state the name of the person with whom s/he intends to get married to.
Νon-Marriage Certificate from the District Administration of each city. Cost €34.17 per person. Note: The Non-marriage Certificate is issued upon presentation of the Affidavit and is valid for only three (3) months.
If a Cypriot is interested to get married to a Third National, s/he should apply only to the Marriage Registrar (Civil Registry and Migration Department) and not to the District Administration for the Non-marriage Certificate. If divorced: Final divorce from the Family Court, after spending 42 days from the date of issue.
If widowed: Death Certificate of spouse by the District Administration.
