WHY JOIN

The Cyprus Evangelical Alliance is the official body of the Evangelical Churches in Cyprus representing and promoting the interests of the Evangelical Christians to the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and to the society in general.

The network between the Churches that the Alliance creates becomes a positive force that reaches Cypriot society through the Gospel by word and deed, becoming a vital part of it. The Alliance is registered with and operates under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.

Churches that become members of the CEA fulfill the commandment of the Lord Jesus in John 13:34-35:

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

• Register Marriage Ministers with the Ministry of Interior
• Authenticate signatures of Licensed Marriage Ministers on public documents with the Ministry of Justice (apostille signatures)
• Receive Wedding Permits and Wedding Certificates (Note: The Cyprus Evangelical Alliance has become an issuing authority since 2016)
• Have support before the Ministry of Justice on equal treatment as stated by the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus
• Participate in events organized or sponsored by the Alliance all of which work towards unity
• Benefit from advisory services on registering their church with the Republic of Cyprus
• Have the practical support of the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) before the President and other Ministries of the Republic of Cyprus concerning the rights of the Evangelical Community in Cyprus
